James "Jamie" Douglas Gulacsi, 54, of Orlando, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 after suffering a stroke.
Born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, he was the son of Janos and Muriel (Briggs) Gulacsi of Marstons Mills, Massachusetts. Jamie graduated from Barnstable High School in 1987, attended Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable, and married his best friend Lisa Rawding on May 23, 1998.
Jamie worked for Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis for almost two decades, and after relocating to Orlando, found work with Waste Management, FunSpot, AdventHealth East Orlando, and Universal Studios working in supply chain and facilities management. He had an outstanding work ethic, always willing to lend a helping hand, ready with a joke to lighten the mood, and/or a kind word to lift spirits.
Jamie loved and cherished his family beyond measure, he was committed to his parenting and household duties, and would be able to solve any handyman need with a creative solution. At least once a week on his day off, he enjoyed assisting his mother-in-law, "Ma," with her honey-do-list. Jamie also enjoyed travelling with his family. His favorite was by cruise ship to Bermuda, and loved working on cars in his spare time.
In addition to his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa Gulacsi of Orlando, he leaves beautiful memories to be cherished by his parents, Janos and Muriel Gulacsi; two daughters, Jacquelyn Rawding, and Jenna Gulacsi; two sons, Aaron Gulacsi, and Jacob Gulacsi; a grandchild, Camren Rivera; a brother, Ben and Veronica Gulacsi; his mother-in-law, Judith Rawding; his brother-in-law, Thomas and Laurie Rawding; and a niece, Zoe Rawding.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul Rawding.
