James J. Penka, 92 of Orlando passed away Tuesday, May 8th. Born in New Brunswick, N.J. he moved to Central Florida in 1976 Edison, N.J. He retired in 1977 from Tenneco Chemicals, Inc. in Fords, N.J and was a founding member of The First Aid Unit there.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Catherine T. "Kay" Penka and his daughter LaVerne Vercauteren and her husband, Jozef of Myrtle Beach, S.C.. He was preceeded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Penka Richards in 1989.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 10th in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time.
