James Edward Thomas

James (Jim) Edward Thomas, 96, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Jim was born in Akron, Ohio, on December 16, 1927. He graduated from Barberton High School and received some college education from Kent State University.

He was married to Diana D. Thomas on March 26, 1949, until her death in 2019.

Jim had a career as an insurance salesman for National Standard Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Elk's Club and had a passion for golfing, football, baseball, and basketball.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana; parents, James and Katie Thomas; and brother, Robert Thomas.

He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Whitaker (Jack); brother, Charles Thomas; grandson, Christopher Thomas Hamil; three great-granddaughters; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
