Brackin, James K., Sr. (Lt., US Navy; Ret.)-
Died: James K. Brackin, Sr., 80, of Winter Springs, Florida. He was born in Hartford, Alabama in 1923, grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and graduated from Pensacola High School in 1941. He enlisted in the Navy in 1941. He served 26 years on active duty (ten as an officer) and was veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired from the Navy in 1967, bought a home in Orlando, Florida and worked for General Dynamics, and other electronics companies, He is survived by his second wife Rachel, his sons Jim, Jr., and Bob, and brother, Johnny. He had a keen interest in life, had a sense of humor, and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 17, 2004 in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time.
