James immigrated to the United States at the age of 18, bringing with him a strong work ethic and an unwavering determination. From his arrival, he embraced every opportunity, diligently working his way up in each position he held. For many years, he excelled as a restaurant manager, and most recently, he found a cherished community at Target, where he forged lasting friendships. James was never one to shy away from hard work, approaching every task with dedication and enthusiasm.
His passions extended beyond his professional life. James was an avid soccer fan, his heart belonging to Deportivo Cali, Selección Colombia, and Atlético Madrid. He held Lionel Messi in the highest regard, admiring his skill and dedication to the sport. He also enjoyed American football and was a devoted fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When relaxing, James enjoyed a "Crown Royal on the Rocks" or a "Corona" beer.
Though he built a life in the United States, his Colombian roots were always close to his heart. He made numerous trips back to his homeland, though he often felt they were never enough. Family was paramount to James, and he was a constant source of support and love for his closest relatives. He was always present, offering a helping hand and a listening ear.
James will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his resilience, his unwavering support, and his infectious passion for life. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, friendship, and love. We will always remember him
