James, 74 of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family.

James was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. He served in the U.S. Navy and was also a D.C. police officer. He loved his U.S. VA military motorcycle club and enjoyed riding his Road King motorcycle.

James was predeceased by his son Ross Pontier , his parents James R. Pontier, Sr. and Delores B. Pontier. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughters Sandra Dollahan, husband Jim, Maria Pontier, Dionne Jackson, husband Keith, Margaret Todd, husband Ronald, sons Donald Smith, wife Christi, Leo Smith, wife Karly, sister Joyce Marston, husband Steve. 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, cousins, an Uncle and an Aunt and many friends.
