James Quammie, age 84 of Orlando, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2006. He was born in St. Vincent, West Indies on July 20, 1921. He was a retired circulation manager in the newspaper industry. Mr. Quammie is survived by his wife Catherine Quammie; sons Winston Nash and Earle Quammie; daughters Juliette Vidal, Decima Cunningham, and Michelle Halls; sons-in-law Horace Cunningham, Victor Vidal, and Kurt Halls; grandchildren Shara and Juma Cunningham, Dwaine Denson, Rohann Vidal, Kimberly Quammie, and Kayla Halls; great-grandchildren Jamal and Tahj Cunningham, Diamond Denson; sister Ruby Williams; nieces Sonia Lashley, and Indrid O'Marde; and many close friends and relatives who were touched by his life. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, East Orlando, with Pastor Rod Idle of Southeast Christian Church officiating.
