James Smith, age 52 of Orlando, passed away Friday, April 26 at his residence. He was born in Mobile, AL to Clifford Charles Smith and Mary Ellen Keske Smith,on June 16, 1960. Mr. Smith was a self employed landscaper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Smith. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Smith; daughter, Valerie Zollinger; son, James Clifford Smith; daughter, Jessica Marie Hudie; son, Russell Martina; granddaughter, Andrea Smith; grandson, James Clifford Smith, Jr.; sister, Judy Gizinski.
He was a Loving husband, son, brother, father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle and friend. He went to Good Shepherd Catholic School grades K-8 and was on the basketball team. Freshman year he was at Bishop Moore and was on the football team, then he finished school at Colonial High. He was very good at working with his hands. He loved the outdoors and being with nature. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, and fishing, and being with his beloved family and dog. He made friends with whomever he would meet and always made others feel included. He had boundless energy from the time he was a toddler. He was a religous man and enjoyed music. Some of his favorite things were watching the Andy Griffith show, Hawaii Five-0, Beverly Hillbillies, and listening to the Beegees. He was ready to come to the rescue when there was a family member in need and he was loved so dearly.
Visitation will be held from 6PM-9PM, Friday May 3 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Orlando. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12PM, Saturday May 4 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando.
