James Joseph Thompson

April 27, 1948 — February 7, 2025

Longwood

James "Jim" Joseph Thompson was born Tuesday, April 27, 1948 to Joseph and Josephine Thompson and he passed Friday February 7th, 2025, comfortably, in his home, in Longwood, Fl, at the age of 76.

Jim was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend. He was born in Queens, NY at Queens Private Maternity Sanitorium. In 1957, his family relocated from New York to California where he graduated from Monroe High School with the class of 1966. Jim held many careers over the years, from teaching history for a brief time, to tennis courts construction, and almost all things swimming pools, and eventually, he was one of the first "certified" Process Servers in Seminole County. Jim loved his wife, daughters, and his dogs. He was a family man but also a friend. Jim could make a friend in any room he walked into. He frequently stopped and spent time talking to people, making many long time friends. After a busy day working hard, Jim enjoyed stopping at a favorite watering hole, or a few, grabbing a drink, and socializing with friends. Jim has been a long-time member of the Moose, Eagles, and Orioles. Jim was strong, resilient, stubborn, intelligent, loving, giving, and kind. He enjoyed watching football and spending quality time with his family.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his 6 daughters, Patricia, Jessika, Audra, Tianna, Rachelle, and Christina and their respective spouses; his 13 grandchildren: Kyle, Skylar, Paige, Avery, Leila, Bailee, Nicholas, Riley, Sophia, Lucas, James, Lincoln, and JJ; and his 2 dogs: Toto and Dutchess.
