Jan (John) Mijal passed away peacefully at home in Orlando, FL, on Thursday July 6th, 2017.
He was born May 30, 1953, in Frysztak, Poland, to Bronislawa and Feliks Mijal. Jan is survived by 3 sisters, Helena, Janina and Maria, 2 daughters, Sylwia and Magda, and 4 grandchildren; Soufian, Nadia, Riley, and Avery.
Jan was a man of many talents and there was nothing that he could not do. Inventing, engineering, welding, carpentry, sewing, painting, cooking, farming, and playing many instruments were all things at which he excelled. To his friends and colleagues, he was also known as "McGyver" for his ability to fix anything. He is also remembered for his abundant willingness to help others. Many hearts were touched by his kindness.
He would like you to know that his work here is done. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where love and laughter is guaranteed and he will reunite with friends and family he has not seen in a long time. His wish and desire is for his family and friends to find love and happiness in life.
A celebration of life service will be held from 12:00 to 2:00, Tuesday, July 11th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod Rd, Orlando FL 32822. Service will then be held at 3:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1501 North Alafaya Trail, Orlando FL 32828.
His body's final resting place will be next to his son Paul, at St. George Cemetery in Kenosha Wisconsin.
