Jane P. Georgopolis, age 99, of Winter Park, Florida, formerly of Jackson, MI, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 in Winter Park. She was the widow of James W. Georgopolis.
Jane was born on June 20, 1920 in Jackson, MI, daughter to the late Benjamin D. and Maude (Shumway) Spencer. She was a graduate of Jackson High School. She spent her working career as a self employed seamstress and tailor who made fine wedding gowns, suits, and other specialty clothing. For many years she taught children's sewing classes at the local Jackson YWCA. She was an active member of her church. One of her greatest joys was watching seedlings grow into beautiful plants.
Jane is survived by her two daughters, Annalee Georgopolis of Winter Park, FL and Pamela McBride and her husband, Don, of Clayton, Georgia; her three sons, John Georgopolis and his wife, Nina, of Jackson, MI, Michael Georgopolis and his wife, Carolyn, of Osprey, FL, and James Georgopolis and his wife, Kathy, of Hernando, FL; six grandchildren, Dina Howard, Larry Snider, II, Valerie Snider, David Georgopolis, Melissa Georgopolis, and Marcus Georgopolis, nine great-grandchildren, Jacob Goldman, Sarah Snider, Larry Snider, III, Andrew T. Quick, Alex Georgopolis, Bianca Davis, Sophia Snider, Athena Kerley, and Alysia Kerley, and three great great-grandchildren, Alan Quick, Gabriella Davis, and Xavier Davis.
