On February 20, 1928 my mom, Janette T Zuendel came to earth. Her “Daddy” and “Mother” Fred and Geneva (Baird) Thille were very kind and gentle parents. They shared a great love for one another. At a month shy of 3, she became a big sister to Neva Claire (Thille) Smith.
She knew love.
My mom had a career with the federal government that spanned 37 years. She retired as Contract Operation Branch Chief. Her success could be attributed to her consistent devotion to duty and professionalism.
She knew achievement.
My mom, had one daughter, me (Michelle Howe). She celebrated my successes and taught me how navigate life’s challenges. A mother can take the place of all others, but her place no one else can take.
She knew success.
Her family grew to included her her son-in-law, Daniel Howe; grandson, Matthew Howe and granddaughter, Laura Howe, Her heart was full.
She would proudly say she had 12 nieces and nephews. She loved each and every one.
She had so many wonderful friends, with whom she laughed and at times cried.
She knew happiness.
My mom prayed daily with confidence knowing God understood her struggles and provided mercy and grace to help in her every need.
She knew great faith.
My mom had 35,391 days on this earth. She loved nature. She especially loved to hike in Yellowstone. When she would come across heart shaped rocks placed in her path she knew they were there to remind her that she is a special child of God. A God who spread his arms to welcome her home on January 11, 2025.
Mom, our hearts ache for you. We love you. Don’t you ever forget it!
A funeral service will be in Beloit Kansas later in the Spring,
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
