OUR JASON
WHOWAS HE?...
If you knew Jason you knew love. Lots of it! You knew extreme love of family, love of mom and dad, love of his own devoted brother, of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pride in both his grandfathers military service. Love of his Irish and German heritage. A great friend.
If you knew Jason you knew the ocean. As much as he could get…Love of the Jersey shore. Surfing, suntans, sunsets and sleeping in! An outdoor shower after the beach! The love of eating crabs with one Nana and fried oysters with the other.
If you knew Jason you knew love of all God's creatures, incapable of hurting anyone or anything. Love of animals of all shapes, kinds and condition…especially his love of Manatees and his own precious "Barley".
If you knew Jason you knew incredible passion, opinion, amazing intelligence, incredible conversation and a thirst to gain more knowledge..a good debate. You knew history of every kind…European, African and especially American…his idol Abe Lincoln. Just talking with mom!
If you knew Jason you knew good food, lots and lots of music, good movies, watching Ryan and Dena on stage, and especially his love of books, lots of them…cases and cases. A never ending thirst for knowledge. You knew every music artist, especially the Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, the Beatles and his favorite, The "Boss".
If you knew Jason you knew jokes, wisecracks and a quick responsive humor. You had to laugh.
If you knew Jason you knew his beloved Phillies, the NY Rangers and football. You knew sports stats, player's profiles and his NFL UCF alums.
If you knew Jason you knew simplicity of Wants and spirit and yet a complicated mind. You knew stubborn and flexible. You knew "vision and direction" and lost and confused".
If you knew Jason you knew pride and humility…strength and fear. Pride in his family, even pride in you, but, never in himself. He never saw the "winner" in himself that he was. He most definitely was!
If you knew Jason, you knew boundless, endless Love!
And, WE DID!
My Love Forever and Ever,
Dad
