Jason Scot Ladner, age 41, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. He was born July 28, 1975 in Sacramento, California.
Jason is survived by his parents, Thomas and Pamela Ladner of Orlando; his son, Jacob Scot Ladner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his sister & brother-in-law, Kristen and Matt Diehl of Orlando; his nieces Madison & Jaelin Diehl; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout Florida and the United States.
Jason graduated from Palm Bay High School in Palm Bay, Florida in 1994 and joined the United States Marines in the same year. He enjoyed a career as a flight engineer on H53 Helicopters stationed in both California and Hawaii. Jason admired the Marines for what they stood for and the discipline he received from being in the Marines as well as serving his country. Being stationed in both California and Hawaii, he was able to continue his passion for surfing and often life guarding on the beaches of Hawaii. He had the opportunity to travel on a Navy ship from Hawaii to Australia and surf the waves off the Australian coast.
After serving his country for 4 years, he returned home to pursue his passion to become an entrepreneur successfully growing businesses involving telecommunications, real estate, and other niche markets. He resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until October of 2016 when he returned to Orlando to pursue new business opportunities.
Jason loved being a father to his son Jacob who attends high school and lives with his mother, Rosey Malchow, in Wisconsin.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
