Jean Diane Skelly

Jean D. Skelly was born 12/20/33 in Cologne, NJ to Wilhelmina and George Corbett. She passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2023 at the age of 89 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Jean was known to many as Mom or Gram and recently renamed MeMe to the great-grandkids. She was a phenomenal mother, wife, gram, MeMe, aunt, babysitter, and friend. She gave endless hours of her life to her family and friends.

She raised 4 children of her own and babysat all her friends and family members' children whenever needed throughout her life. She loved to travel the U.S with her husband Roy prior to his passing. She was family focused and loved attending/coordinating family reunions. Jean was the anchor of the family, compassionate and loving, as well as a strong female presence throughout her family tree.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Roy Skelly, daughter Kim Leek-Bond, and sister Audrey Meehan.

She is survived by Donald Leek (son), David Leek (son) and Aimee Leek (daughter), Patricia Collier (step-daughter), Corey Bond (grandson), Jaime Stirling (granddaughter), Rebecca Clayton (step-granddaughter). Her great-grandchildren: Sadie and Oliver Bond, and Beckham, Liam, Kyson, Matix, and Henley Stirling.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:30-7:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750.

Final resting arrangements will take place at a later date in New Jersey.
