Jennifer Lynne Camp was born August 19th, 1970 in the sunshine state of Florida. Most of her life particularly her early childhood and young adulthood was spent in Orlando Florida with her mother Karen Camp Henry and her father James Henry. For a time she lived in Douglasville and Georgia.
During her formative years she was an active and happy youngster. She attended Cheney Elementary and Glenridge Middle Schools. She was a member of Brownies and Girl Scouts groups. Additionally, she attended dance classes and was a Baton Twirler. These were activities she immensely enjoyed because well into her life she would fondly recall these childhood memories.
Jennifer had stints at various jobs. The vocations she enjoyed most were her tenure as a commercial painter and her time in the trucking industry. She really could paint! The opportunities for travel to various parts of the United States were the highlights of her time spent in the trucking business accompanying her partner David Murphy Sr.
"Jen" as she was affectionately called was a proud mother of three, her daughter Krystal and sons David and Tyler. She desired to be a good mother. She did the best she could, to be a parent and was delighted to serve as Home-room Mother, Chaperone for school field trips and was an ardent supporter for their sporting events.
If you thought she was a great mom then she would be best described as a "super grandmother". She felt that being a grandparent afforded her the opportunity to perfect what she may have missed being a parent. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eyes. Jennifer seemed to have a new lease on life on becoming a grandmother. She simply adored, cherished, and spoiled her grand kids Corbin and Makenzie who she lovingly called "Beano" and "Kenz".
Those who were fortunate to really know Jennifer would attest that at her core she was a loving, loyal, woman with a great sense of humor. She was passionate about the outdoors. She loved to go fishing. However it was her insatiable love for the beach that characterized her. For Jen - life was a beach!
Jennifer was a fun loving person. She loved family, a good party, great music and make up! In conversations she would often fondly recall family gatherings. She cherished her brother Jerry who predeceased her. She enjoyed being a big sister to Jeremy whom she loved dearly along with James and Shannon.
Living in an imperfect world is a challenge for all. Jennifer had her life's challenges. It seems just as she had gotten to the place where she had her strategy for living together she unexpectedly and abruptly left us. It is no wonder that her untimely demise leaves us saddened.
One of her favorite sayings was..."I love you to the moon and back again". This was reflective of the depth of her sincerity and love. Honor her memory by making the commitment to live and love sincerely and as she would say "I love you more!!!
