Jerry Mack Denson DMD, 79, of Orlando, Florida, passed away May 22, 2015 from complications of an undiagnosed brain condition. Jerry was born on March 7, 1936 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He moved to Orlando in 1946 where he attended Delaney Elementary School and graduated from Edgewater High School in 1954. Upon graduating from high school Jerry served in the United States Navy on the USS Coral Sea. After his service in the Navy, Jerry attended University of Louisville and received his Doctorate of Dentistry in 1968 and a Doctorate of Orthodontics in 1974. He was in private practice in Orlando for 29 years.
Jerry loved being with his family, playing golf, watching NASCAR and LaCantina steaks!
He is preceded in death by his Father, John Denson, Mother, Nancy Denson, and Stepdaughter, Linda Jonas Carrig. Surviving family includes, his Wife of 18 years, Suzanne W. Denson, Sons, David Denson, Steven (Susan) Denson, Todd (Cathy) Denson, Stepdaughter, Wendy (John) Bleiler, Brothers, Richard (Monte) Denson and Tom Denson, Sister, Frances Cothran, 9 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and a baker's dozen great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 30, 2015 at 10am at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1655 Peel Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32806, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Pastor's Discretionary Fund, Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 1801 Rouse Road, Orlando Florida 32817 or The Outreach Program at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1655 Peel Avenue, Orlando, Fl 32806.
