Jerry W. Smith, age 71, of Winter Springs, FL passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at AdventHealth Hospice Orlando.

Jerry was born on May 6, 1950 in Richmond, VA, son of the late Charlie Henry, Jr. and Lydia Elizabeth (Mixon) Smith. Jerry graduated from Thomas Dale High School, class of 69. He then attended Holmes Theological Seminary from 1970-71, and graduated from Heritage Bible college in 1973. He pastored churches in Virginia and North Carolina, and then attended Campbell University and graduated with a BS degree. On July 23, 1994, he married his sweetheart, Brenda.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Brenda Smith of Winter Springs; two daughters, Melissa Hadaway of Auburn, AL, and , Megan Simara and her husband Lenny of Longwood; three grandchildren, Katie Yates, Jackson Yates, and Levi Simara; two sisters, Jane Perkins and her husband, Allen, of Manquin, VA, and Karen Abrahamian of Yale, VA; a brother, Ricky Smith of Richmond, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Arthur Smith, and John Smith.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the Foundry Church, 1491 E. State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL. Friends may gather after the service to visit with the family.
