Jimmy Valencia Ecle, age 75, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
He was born on the 27th March, 1945 in Candelaria, Zambales, Philippines to Conchita and Arcadio. He studied Fine Arts at University of Santo Tomas but decided to join the United States Navy in the year of 1966. He proudly served for over 20 years and then retired with Northrop Grumman. He was heavily involved in the Filipino community of Orlando where he was a choir member for over 20 years. He was an avid volunteer in the Filipino Ministry in the Diocese of Orlando and Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was one of the pioneers of the Filipino Mass in Good Shepherd. In his spare time, he would love to sing, cook, fish and camp. He especially enjoyed drawing portraits.
Jimmy was the most compassionate person one could ever meet. He would love to help those in need whenever he had a chance. He loved his family and all his relatives still in the Philippines. He loved to brighten the mood and was always jolly. He never left a room without telling a joke.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arcadio Ecle, mother, Conchita Ecle and sister, Julie V. Ecle.
He is survived by wife, Mila Lao Ecle, daughter, Jillian Lao Ecle, son, Brian Lao Ecle, sisters, Caroline Medina and Susan Ecle, and brothers, Arcadio Ecle Jr., Roger V. Ecle and Walter Ecle.
Visitation is Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Winter Park.
Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:30 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Queen of Angels Cemetery.
