Jimmy Robert Kenny

Jimmy Robert Kenny died on August 14, 2015 at Conway Lakes Health and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, FL. Mr. Kenny was born in Greensboro, GA on February 13, 1931. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Kenny Talley. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Russell Kenny; daughter, Sandra Kenny Sterman; son, Steven Dewey Kenny and his daughter, Joanie Kenny Hoyt. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mr. Kenny's favorite saying was "A person begins to understand the meaning of life when he plants a shade tree under which he will never sit." He enjoyed trips to the Georgia Mountains, woodworking, gardening and spending time with family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Lyme Disease Foundation, Inc. P.O. Box 466 Lyme, Connecticut 06371 or State Botanical Garden of Georgia, 2450 S. Milledge Avenue, Athens, GA 30605.
