Joan Frances Martell Adams

Joan Frances Martell Adams, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8th, 2018, at Florida Hospital East. She was born December 9, 1936 in Pawcatuck, Connecticut to Alexander and Rose (Nardone) Martell. Joan was one of five children, and the last remaining survivor of her family. She grew up in the Rhode Island area where she enjoyed such activities as sailing and riding bikes until she had contracted polio at the age of 16. She was passionate about her family, friends, and her little cats, which she loved dearly. Joan was a woman of honesty, integrity, and sometimes mystery. Most noted of all was her love for her husband, Donald. She is survived by her 3 children, which includes sons John, Leonard, and daughter Lisa, along with 5 grandchildren. Family, friends, and others whose lives Joan has touched are invited to the Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822 on December 13th from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for family and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for friends, this will be a time to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat. Viewing will be followed by Burial service at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817 at 11:30 am.
