Joan Katherine Wahl

Joan Katherine Wahl, age 72, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Somerby Assisted Living of Lake Nona.
She was born on December 13, 1950 in Nanticoke, PA, daughter to her late parents, Frank Joseph and Anna Delores Czoch. Joan was a graduate of Mary Mount Center High School, and later received degrees from Wilkes College and Nova Southeastern University.
On August 20, 1977, she married Thomas Wahl who preceded her in death. To this union were born their two children, daughter, Caroline Kolbe, and son, Christopher.
Joan spent her working career as a teacher, but was most proud of being a physician's assistant. She most recently was working for South Florida Gastroenterology Associates before her retirement in 2016.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Caroline Kolbe Dombrowski and her husband, Mike, of Orlando; and son, Christopher Wahl and his wife, Kate, of Smithfield, VA; and four grandchildren, Kaylee Wahl, Abigail Wahl, Nicholas Dombrowski, and Natasha Dombrowski.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando.
The family will receiving friends on Saturday, October 28 preceding the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Another Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Nanticoke, PA with details to be announced later.
Inurnment will follow with her parents at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Nanticoke, PA at a later date.
