Joanne Nance Davis

Joanne Nance Davis, age 81, passed away on January 1, 2019.
She was born on March 4, 1937 at Charlotte Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC to Joe Ury Nance and Fadene Y. Nance (both deceased).
She is also preceded in death by Beck Milton Davis (ex-husband who was the love of her life), Bill Cuthbert, her beloved son, Joseph Vann Davis and her life long friend Connie who passed away last year.
Joanne is survived by her children Beck Milton "Buddy" Davis, Jr., Denise DeFilippo (Bob), Rochelle Millican and step-daughter Ruth Cuthbert. She had one granddaughter, Courtney Helms and one great-granddaughter, Annabelle Croft, whom she loved and adored. She had so many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Joanne loved her Lord, friends, life and most of all her family.
She went back to SCC late in life and earned her B.S. in science and later on also earning a certification as an x-ray technician. While she was a practicing nurse for over 45 years, she met so many people and loved all of her patients. Joanne worked over 25 years for Dr. Michael Barimo.
Joanne loved people, traveling, cruising, and the beach life.
She found great comfort watching the dolphins and manatees at sunrise and sunset from her balcony at Cocoa Beach, Florida. She was a true "Parrothead."
We will love you forever, Mom.
Visitation will be held January 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM with a memorial service at 3:00 PM to follow, both held at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750.
