Johanna "Joan" Elena Lopez

Johanna "Joan" Elena Lopez Diaz, age 45, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, and is and will always be greatly missed. 

She was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and was most recently a resident of Tampa, Florida. She passed away in Altamonte Springs, Florida, under loving Hospice Care.

Johanna was a devoted daughter, Goddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Candido E. Lopez, and Maria (Mariam) Antonia Diaz. She is survived by her Godmother, Sonia Cora of Orlando, and her brother, Luis Alberto Lopez Diaz, and four nephews and one niece.

She chose a career in retail and was an Assistant Manager at Bath and Body Works in Tampa. Her loyalty to her job and her love of her co-workers remained to the end. 

Thank you to Johanna’s doctor at Orlando Health, Dr. Shelley Seward, for her compassion, empathy, and most loving care. She was her “Warrior”. Dr. Seward’s staff, Jasmine, Anne, and many other awesome nurses and staff, did everything in their power, to be attentive, to make us comfortable and feel loved, not just on Chemo Days but always. 

 Johanna will be remembered in a Celebration of Life Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando, FL, on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 12:00 noon.
