John Scott Barger, age 78, of Orlando, FL passed away Wednesday December 31, 2014.
He was the only child of Scott and Madeline Barger of Lewiston, PA. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty. He leaves behind his son, Jeff of Wetumpka, AL; daughters, Debbie of Oviedo, FL and Cheryl of Jacksonville, FL; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In 1958 he graduated with honors from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA and from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA. He was a Naval Aviator and made several cruises on aircraft carriers, one in Vietnam. He worked as an electrical engineer around the country. He enjoyed sailing locally and in the Virgin Islands.
A memorial service will be held at the Altamonte Chapel, 825 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL on Saturday January 10, 2015 starting at 1pm.
