John Howard Rice, age 82 of Orlando passed away Thur. March 23, 2006. Born in Middlesboro, KY, he moved to Central Florida in 1953. He was retired from Kennedy Space Center and was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II. He was of the Presbyterian Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Rice of Orlando; daughters, Cheryl Normann (Eric) of Winter Park and Linda Bass (Lee) of Belleview, FL; brothers, Dr. Gene Rice of Washington D.C., Captain Ben A. Rice (Ret.) of Albany, GA; Richard Rice of Indianapolis, IN and David Sutton of Oaklandon, IN; sister, Betty Brouwer of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Christy Mann, Brian Normann and Lee and Michael Bass; 3 great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando.
