John William Martin Jr., known to his family and friends as Bill or Pops, went to his final resting place on July 13th 2020 at home. Bill was born June 13th 1942.
Bill was born to John William Martin Sr. and Joy Inez Martin, brother to Joy Martin and Jerry Martin. Bill was father to son Christopher Martin and daughter Melanie Martin-Bernier.
Grandpa to Kasey Ann Loiselle (Johnson), Austin LaValle -Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, Mac Johnson Jr.; Great Grandpa to Anna Loiselle, Daniel Loiselle, Isaac Loiselle and Lincoln LaValle.
He has left us way to soon.
Bill was born in Florida and lived there his whole life. Bill was in the Navy from 1963 to 1967. Was honorably discharged and returned to Florida and started working for the Florida Department of Transportation.
Bill retired from D.O.T after 38 years. Bill was involved in Boy Scouts, coached baseball, and was Head Chaperone to the Edgewater High School Band. Bill enjoyed Hunting, fishing, guns, traveling, and sports.
Even growing up in Florida, Bill has always and will always be Green Bay Packers Fan. Bill loved people and was very sociable. Bill always saw the best in people.
Bill always encouraged and motived everyone around him. Bill loved the people that he came into contact with throughout his life and would always be willing to help out anyone in need, especially if they were friends of the family. The scouts and band kids will always hold a very special place in Bill's heart.
Celebration of life will be Saturday 25th at Newcomers Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3806 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, FL 32792 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Family and friends are welcome to follow the family to Gators 4982 New Board Street, Orlando, FL 32814, to continue to celebrating his life.
