John F. Palser, Jr., age 78, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Cornerstone Hospice Inpatient Unit at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
John was born on November 5th, 1940 in Chester, Pa., son of late John F. Sr. and Esther (Smith) Palser. He worked at Southco Inc., a fastener manufacturer in shipping and receiving, for 42 years before retirement in 2004. John was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He was an avid bowler, and President of his bowling league. He was a member of the Essington Fire Company. John was known for his sense of humor, always making everyone around him laugh. His love of music in high school led him to dance on American Bandstand, and the Linwood Firehall dances. John spent his summers in Wildwood, NJ, and enjoyed trips crossing the bridge for Jersey tomatoes and sausage, peppers, and onion sandwiches at Cowtown. He was a self-proclaimed meteorologist, calling himself, "Hurricane Johnny", often exaggerating the local forecast. Most of all, John's greatest love was his 5 children and his grandchildren.
John is survived by his three sons, John F. Palser, III and his partner, Becky Johnson of Gloucester City, NJ, Steve Palser and his wife, Giovana (Gi) of Kissimmee, and Scott Palser and his partner Kate, of Lake Mary; his two daughters, Beth Palser-Quindlen and her husband, Bill, of Oxford, PA, and Kristi Palser of Casselberry, FL; his five grandchildren, Charlotte King, Alex Palser, Breanne Palser, Loribeth Palser, and Danny Palser; and his beloved dog, Elvis.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday, October 19, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
