John T. Powers III, age 80 of Orlando Passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2005. He was born in Fenholloway, Florida, was a member of the St. Cloud Church of God and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene Powers of Orlando; sons, Thomas Lee Powers of Orlando and John Andrew Powers of Fort Walton Beach, FL; daughter, Judith Smith of Georgia; brother, George Luie Powers of Edgewater, FL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando with Pastor Clarence Chesnutt officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.
