José Manuel Meléndez Marrero, age 96, of Oviedo, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico on August 27, 1924 to parents Feliciano and Adela Marrero. He was a retired Staff Sergeant in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Ines Meléndez; daughters, Sonia Meléndez, Luz Alicia Meléndez Rivera; sisters, Blanca Iris Meléndez, Martha Meléndez, Rosalina Meléndez; brother, Victor Meléndez. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margarita Meléndez.

A visitation will be held from 10AM to 12PM, Tuesday February 16 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Orlando Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
