José Luis Negrón, lovingly referred to as Junior, was born on the 7th of January of 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio and departed this earthly realm on the 30th of September of 2021. He was the first of three children, two sons and one daughter. He was the son of José Antonio Negrón and Carmen Delia Negrón, who have since gone to be with the Lord. He is survived by his two siblings: Richard Negrón and Milagros Negrón.
Along with his parents and siblings, Junior was raised in Lorain, Ohio where he remained for 34 years. At the age of 18, he began his trucking career alongside a close family friend by the name of Pedro Torres, the uncle of his lifelong best friend Henry Garcia. During that time, God blessed him with two wonderful sons: José Antonio Negrón, lovingly referred to as Pito, and Marco Negrón (Lynette). He is also survived by one grandson through Pito, Elijah Hunter Negrón.
After he moved from Lorain, Ohio, he moved to Orlando, Florida where he met the love of his life and his wife of 23 years, Maria Diaz Negrón, and were married on the 31st of August of 1998 in Orlando, Florida. During this beautiful union, Junior inherited two wonderful stepchildren: Jenny Elizabeth Colon (Luis) and Daniel Nathan Paredes. Through Jenny, he is also survived by one granddaughter Lizette Colon. They established their home in Orlando, Florida where they resided for the remainder of their lives. Junior was the uncle of two nieces and one nephew through his brother, Richard: the twins Rachel Alisa Negrón and Richard Anthony Negrón (Arangelis), and Rebecca Ashley Negrón.
Junior enjoyed every minute of life on the road alongside Maria, traveling mostly from the east coast to the west coast of our great country. They even had the amazing opportunity to own their own trucking business during their lifetime together. In Maria's words, they got along so well, and after all of these years they hardly ever had any arguments as Junior proved to be very easy going.
José Luis Negrón was a very blessed and well-loved person by all who knew him, and we as his friends and family are left with wonderful memories and shared moments that will remain with us forever in our hearts. Although he did his best to make everyone believe he was tough and mean, the reality was that Junior was loving and understanding. Thank you for joining us in the celebration of the life of José Luis Negrón and his reunion with Christ our Lord in salvation. Today, while José Luis Negrón is in the presence of our Lord, his family and friends do not say "goodbye," but instead, "until we meet again…"
