Jose Luis "Cito" Perez, 65, of Orlando, FL, passed away on February 8, 2022. On May 9, 1956, he was born to Santiago and Matilda Perez. The native New Yorker moved to Florida in 2007.
Jose served in the Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda, and daughters Yolanda (Yoly) and Milagros (Milly), along with five grandchildren, Jacob, Giovanni Jr, Gabriella, Jordan, and Antonio.
Jose was funny, caring, and charismatic. Without a doubt, he got the party started. Whether driving around or in the house, he was going to sing and dance when the music came on.
His family was his world. Taking time to talk sports with and goof around with his grandchildren was one of his favorite past times. He was proud of his daughters and enjoyed talking about the memories shared from when they were kids.
Jose and his wife had a special type of love, a love that will last forever. He would tease her about her grey hairs, and she'd tease back. They understood each other.
He touched everyone he met. He never held a grudge and always accepted people for who they were. He was loved by many.
He was passionate about basketball (Warrior's Fan) and very talented in the sport. His jersey number was number 15. The passion was passed along to his grandsons, Jordan and Giovanni.
In addition to basketball, he was a Minnesota Vikings Superfan; when they make it to the Superbowl, please know that was his doing from heaven.
Jose is no longer here in person, but our experiences with him, memories, and his presence will remain in our hearts forever.
