Josefa Bicaldo Calicdan, age 68 of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 9, 2016. She was born in Malilipot, Albay, Philippines on November 19, 1947 to the late Gonzalo Bicaldo and Segunda Biglain Bicaldo. Josefa was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Calicdan, son Kevin Calicdan, sister Victoria Graves, brothers, Rudy Biglain and Steve Basilla. Josefa was a midwife in the Philippines. She worked in Germany for 3 years. Immigrated to New York in 1973, attended College of Staten Island, majoring in nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked for 5 years in New York Hospital medical-surgical unit, 20 years in Staten Island University Hospital neonatal ICU. The family moved to Orlando, Florida in 2005 where she spent her retirement years.
