Joseph Nevin Belflower 

Our beloved father Joseph Nevin Belflower of Maitland Florida peacefully left this earth on April 4th at the age of 92. 

Joe was born on May 4, 1932, in Jacksonville Florida to Harry Esra Belflower & Irene Nellie Adams Belflower. After completing high school in 1950 he enlisted in the Navy Reserves for 13 years as a radio operator in the TBM Avenger and P2V Neptune and began studies at the University of Florida. After graduating in 1954 he moved to Atlanta Georgia as a Bank Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank and married Sarah Etta Gamel 1960. In 1968 they moved to Maitland Florida after accepting a position with First National Bank of Orlando (later SunTrust) where he retired as Vice President of Acquisitions. 

Joe enjoyed painting, woodwork, remodeling their home, spending time with grandchildren, and traveling throughout North America, Europe, and Israel. Joe had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was very active with church, Sunday school class, and as church treasurer. 

Joe is predeceased by his parents; wife; siblings Harry Jr and Nell. Survived by three children Scott (Marilyn), Jeffrey, and Steve (Jennifer); and three grandchildren Bradley, Elizabeth, and Joseph. 

Services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 10:30 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Winter Park followed by burial at Glen Haven Memorial Park at 12:00 P.M.The family request flowers be sent to Newcomer Funeral Home, 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park FL 32792.
