Joseph F. Bobalik Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24, 2022 in Winter Garden, Florida. Despite complications of having a stroke, he fought every day to live as normal as possible. He loved the daycare he attended and as I have heard he and his partners in crime could manage to keep the attendants on their toes.
Joe was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Before being drafted into the army, he worked at Grumman Aircraft which enabled him to work on aircraft repair during his time in Vietnam.
He later worked for Alfa Romeo as a district manager. After leaving Alfa he started his own business renting handicapped accessible vans. Joe was not one to retire and found himself working for Enterprise Car Rental after closing his van rental business.
Joe was born to Joseph Bobalik and Anna Seyer Bobalik on August 6, 1944. He met his future wife, Sandra Wortham, in Louisville, Kentucky while stationed at Fort Knox. He leaves a son, Dennis, a daughter Dana, two grandchildren Emmett and Gabriella.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael. Surviving are his four sisters, Cynthia Linker (Ken), Barbara Cooper (Thomas), Rita Wanser (George) and Donna Berman along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to be held on Friday, January 13 at Newcomer Funeral Home on Goldenrod Rd. from 4 to 6 pm. Should you desire, donations to your favorite charity are appreciated. Interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will be at a later date.
