Joseph E. Burton, 75, of Orlando, Florida passed away on September 5, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Esther Burton.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and their two daughters, Wendi (David) Boddy and Gini Beth (Chad) Beatty; his grandchildren, Ryan (Baylee) Boddy, Jessica Boddy, and MJ Beatty; his brother, Richard (Pamela) Burton; his brother-in-law, James Keenan. He will also be missed by his loving companion, Skittles.
Joseph was an avid golfer, and a devoted civil engineer. He took pride in road and bridge construction, and helped in the construction of the Orlando International Airport. He loved his family first before any of his other passions.
The Burton family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the fourth floor Intensive Care Unit at Florida Hospital - East Orlando for their service and kindness through their time spent with them.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's name can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, at jdrf.org.
A Celebration of Life will take place on November 3, 2018. Time and location are to be determined.
