Joseph "Ed" Pettibone went to his eternal reward on July 4, 2022. Ed was born on
November 19, 1933 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He is survived by his sons, Darrell and Garith, and by his wife Trudy. He is also survived by step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter Tamara.
Ed served proudly in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Ed retired from the the Indiana State Employment Service in September, 1985. Two primary interests in his life were photography and bicycling. He was especially proud of his long-distance riding, making trips such as Indianapolis, IN to Atlanta, GA.
In 2016, Ed and Trudy became full-time RVers. While they had a home base in Florida, they covered every state in the continental U.S. in three summers. Prior to RVing, Ed and Trudy made many car trips, going to meetings and basketball and football games all over the country and even a Bowl game in Canada. Ed missed traveling when his illness made it more difficult.
