Joseph (Joe) S. Diesner, 68, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Erie, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 with his loving family at his side, following a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. He was born November 30, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Joseph and Marie Chemeleski Diesner. Joe graduated from Richland High School in Pittsburgh and worked as a meat cutter of over 30 years for various supermarkets in Erie and Orlando having retired in 2007 from Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. after 18 years of dedicated service. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Joe enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, and especially cooking. His specialty was preparing Italian, Polish, and German dishes which he loved to share with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Margaret Diesner, his step-children, Carla De Baldo and husband Daniel, Matthew Stork and wife Carol, Richard Stork and wife Janine, Christopher Stork and wife Vicky; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many devoted relatives and friends in both Erie and Orlando. A celebratory service and final interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Erie, Pa., on a future date to be announced.
