Joyce M. Myre, age 85, of Casselberry, Florida passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at AdventHealth Hospice Care in Altamonte Springs, FL.
She was born on March 7, 1938 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter to her late parents, Charles William Becker and Dorothy (Spanton) Walsh. On January 21, 1956, she was married to Albert Thomas Myre, who preceded her in death in 2020 after 64 years of marriage. Joyce was a reservations agent for the Walt Disney Company, working alongside her husband Bert who was an engineer with the company.
Joyce is survived by her four children, daughter, Deborah Joyce Mattfeld and her husband, James, of Casselberry; three sons, Thomas Albert Myre and his wife, Laura, of Casselberry, Donald Paul Myre and his wife, Kimberly, of Daytona Beach, and Matthew Stephen Myre and his wife, Melissa, of Arden, NC; twelve grandchildren, Tom Myre, Todd Myre, James Myre, Danny Myre, James Mattfeld, Jr., Jeffrey Mattfeld, Hollianne Myre, Matthew Myre, Misty Richards, Donald Myre, Christina Solt, and Brandy Rodrigues; twenty-five great-grandchildren, Kylah Metzger, Savannah Mattfeld, Ethan Mattfeld, Dylan Mattfeld, Tommy Myre, Levi Myre, Violet Myre, Lexi Myre, TJ Myre, Cole Myre, Chelsea Flynn, Nick Flynn, Brooke Myre, Jamie Myre, Alex Myre, Nicholas Myre, Brad Richards, Jonathan Richards, William Wagner, Kekai Rodrigues, Kekoa Rodrigues, Alanahea Rodrigues, Briella Mattfeld, Blake Myre, Jace Myre; and her niece, Kerry White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Maureen Kettles.
Visitation is Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Winter Park Chapel, 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 375 Sunset Dr N, Casselberry, FL.
Interment will follow on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
