Juan Cortes Muñoz, 86 of Orlando, FL passed away on November 22, 2022. He was born in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico on January 12, 1936.
Juan worked for the City of San Juan, Puerto Rico for 29 years prior to his retirement. He served in the Puerto Rico National Guard following his service in the United States Army. He served proudly in the Army from 1955 to 1958. He enjoyed working in his yard and keeping it neat and tidy. He was an expert Dominos player. He was Baptist by his faith and served as the church treasurer for many years. Juan married Julia Batista and they were married for almost 65 years.
Juan is survived by his loving wife Julia; his children: Eliacim and wife, Carmen, Amarilis and husband, Jose, Hernan and wife Sonia, Ruben and wife, Janice; his grandchildren: Pedro and wife, Crystal, Juan and wife, Camille, David and wife, Laura, Sophia, Sarah, Andrea and Alejandro; and by his great grandchildren: Zane, Alicette, Molly, Micah and Matthias.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel. The family will have a Celebration of Juan's life at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
