Juan was born on February 23, 1931 in Cayey, Puerto Rico. He was a retired bus driver for the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico for over 30 years.
Juan is survived by his wife, Maria Jimenez; son, Juan Rivera Jr., daughter, Carmen M. Alamo, son, Luis A. Rivera, daughter, Cecilia Rodriguez; sisters, Antonia Rivera and Iris Castro; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
