Judith Smart

Judith "Judie" Smart was a loving aunt and friend that became family to so many. She left this world on October 8, 2021 at the age of 64, after a very long battle with cancer.

She loved her family and made sure we had everything we needed. The best memories with Judie were the weekends on her boat cruising down the St John's River. This was her happy place to get away from the world. She loved fishing and just being on the water. Judie always made the holidays and events in our lives special, the dinners with the family always meant so much to her. She left us all with so many wonderful memories. She will be greatly missed by so many.

Judie retired from bartending after 45 years, however, if it wasn't for the cancer she would have continued. She loved being behind the bar and talking to the customers. Her customers were more to her than just customers, they became friends and family. She made every holiday at the bar feel like holidays with the family. There are so many stories of "I just came in for a drink and then became a regular because of Judie's kindness." She made sure everyone felt welcome. She was the most selfless person you could ever meet. Whether you needed a shoulder to cry on or guidance to get off the wrong path in life, she was there for you. She would help anyone anyway she could, and if she couldn't help she would find someone that could.

A celebration of life will be held on November 20th at G's Lounge in Longwood. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation in Judie's name to Boys Town Central Florida. Judie would plan events and all proceeds would go to Boys Town Central Florida, so we would like to continue this for her.
