Judy Ann Croft

August 3, 1957 — June 10, 2024

Judy Ann Croft, born on August 3, 1957, in Claxton, Georgia, peacefully passed away on June 10, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.

Born to Clifton and Ollie Mae Croft, Judy was the youngest of six children, growing up on a farm in Register, Georgia with her siblings Huen, Janice, Carolyn, Gloria, and Budd, living most of her life in Statesboro, Georgia. She is lovingly remembered and survived by her sons Clifton Smith of Orlando, Florida and Dustin Smith of Tampa, Florida.

Judy attended Southeast Bulloch High School, and graduated with the class of 1975. Her early life was filled with the rhythm of farm life, and the close-knit community of Register and Statesboro. Judy’s journey through life took her to various places, including Brooklet, Georgia and Prattville, Alabama, before she found her final resting place in Orlando, Florida.

In Prattville, Judy was a cherished member of the First Baptist Church, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Known for her gentle spirit, she was also a pillar of strength and resilience, facing life's challenges with unwavering courage and grace. Judy’s love for dogs and her green thumb were well known, and she was often found tending to her garden, nurturing life around her.

Nature and its wonders held a special place in Judy’s heart, especially owls and the serene beauty of the beach. She was an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in books about angels, reflecting her deeply spiritual nature. Her love of music brought joy to her life and those around her, creating a soundtrack of cherished memories.

Judy’s strength and resiliency were evident in every aspect of her life, from her unwavering faith to her ability to find joy in the simplest of things. Her life was a testament to the simple joys and profound love she shared with those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and unyielding strength left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched with her grace and friendship.

In honoring Judy’s memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection to the beauty of the world around her. She now rests in eternal peace, embraced by the angels she so dearly loved.
