Jules "Alan" Fisher, age 73, of Sanford, FL passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2019.
Alan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Valerie, of Sanford, FL; his daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Brian Enright, of Longwood, FL; his daughter, Amy, and her husband, Colonel Richard S. Mendez, USAF, of Satellite Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Gavin, Elora, and Luke; his brother Charles "Sandy" Fisher and his wife, Betty, of Summit, NY; his sister, Myrtle "Ginger" Royce and her husband, Marc, of Brownville, NY; and his niece and nephews, Christopher Fisher, Scott Fisher, Matthew Mroz, and Melissa Mroz . He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agnes Fisher.
Alan was born on April 10th, 1946 in Englewood, NJ. He graduated from Tenafly High School and joined the United States Army in 1965. After being honorably discharged after two successful tours, Alan went to work for Honeywell as an electronics technician. In 1986, after a promotion into management, he moved his wife and daughters to the Chicago area where they stayed until a job transfer to Central Florida in 1995. In 2002, Alan switched careers to work with Seminole County Fire Dispatch until his retirement in 2012. He was a lifelong conservative and an avid fisherman.
A funeral is scheduled for family and friends on Thursday, January 16th, 2020, at 2pm with a reception to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole Chapel located at 335 E State Road 434, Longwood, Fl. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alan's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Alan's name to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
