June Beverly Lauch, age 87, was released from her earthly body to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in Longwood, Florida. June was born on March 19, 1934 in Washington, DC, to August Hugo and Wave Susan Jones Hanson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Richard Lauch, stepmother, Gladys Hanson, stepsister, Edith Saddoris, sister-in-law, Charlotte Hanson, step granddaughter, Holly Smith, step great grandson, Evan Phillips, and an infant daughter. Surviving are her brother Rodney L. Hanson, Silver Spring, MD, her children Cindy (Don) Soule, Mark (Connie) Robey, and Debbie (Lon) Santora, and step daughters, Judy (Richard) Phillips and Wendy Lauch . She had 12 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
June grew up in Northern Virginia, where she graduated from Falls Church High School in 1952. She worked for a time at the Navy Department, then at State Farm Insurance for many years, and retired as an administrative assistant from General Research Corporation, all while raising her family. She had a lifelong love of dogs and horses and enjoyed owning both. In 2015 she and John relocated to Orlando, Florida, to be nearer to family.
Services will take place on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, Florida, with visitation at 10:30am and service at 11:00am. The service will be followed by a private Burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.
