Kathleen Marie Vaillant
October 17, 1956 — December 29, 2023
Kathleen Marie Vaillant (67) of Orlando, FL, was called to join our Heavenly Father on
December 29th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was a child of the military and was born on 10/17/1956 in Pampanga, Philippines, to
Arthur Vincent Hassert and Johnnie Lee Hassert.
She met the love of her life and best friend, Robert Maurice Vaillant, in 1969 in Orlando, FL,
at Stonewall Jackson where they attended Junior High School. They married in 1977. In
1978, they welcomed their daughter Kelly Marie Vaillant. Eight years later, they were
blessed with the birth of their son, Robert Maurice Vaillant II.
Kathy was a strong Christian woman with a heart of gold. She was the sweetest, most
kindest soul you would ever meet. Kathy was selfless, always putting her family and others
first. She was a giver and a nurturer of all.
Some of her favorite things were spending time with her family. She loved shopping with
her granddaughter, Kayleigh (her best friend). The beach was her place of peace. She
loved listening to the waves and watching the sunset. She adored her children and was the
most proud of both of them.
Like all Vaillants, Kathy loved her boxer dogs. And was the mother to 2 beautiful boxer
sisters, Macy and Chloe. They were her babies, and they adored her.
Kathy is preceded in death by her Father (Aurther Vincent Hassert), her Mother (Johnny
Lee Hassert), and her Sister (Sheryl Ann Hassert)
.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Maurice Vaillant. Her daughter Kelly Marie
Vaillant and son-in-law Chad R. Collins, and granddaughters Kayleigh Jean Vaillant-Collins
and Kaitlyn Young-Collins. Her son Robert Maurice Vaillant II, and daughter-in-law Daniele'
N. Stanford.
She held a very special place in many hearts. Although her presence will be incredibly
missed, she will forever be in our hearts and our guardian Angel.
