Kathryn Joyce Street 78, passed away Tuesday December 9, 2008. As a resident of Apopka she was a member of the Apopka Garden club, a retired advertising sales professional for R.L. Polk & Co., a former President of the West Orange Junior Service League, former owner of the Ranch House Restaurant in Winter Garden and a member of Church in the Son. Born in Flint, Michigan as an only child she attended the University of Michigan and moved to Miami to attend the University of Miami in the 1950s where she met and married Edward Street. The two worked for Aluminum mogul Arthur Vining Davis and in the early 1960s, moved to Winter Garden opening a restaurant and designed and built a home in Pine Hills. After her mother's death in the 90s she moved to Apopka to care for her step father. She was a very generous and loved woman who volunteered with the homeless and loved to fish. She is survived by her Daughter Tami White and son Tim, six grand children and five great-grandchildren. She was know as the, "Lady with the Dog in her Purse" crediting many of her advertising sales to her purse puppy Cherri who also accompanied her to church. Visitation will be held at the Church in the Son at 10 AM on Tues Dec 16th with Funeral Services at 11AM Reception at Noon and graveside service for friends and family at 1:30 PM at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka.
