Katie Mae Payne White was born May 30, 1946, to the union of Jessie King Carter and Theoplis Ray Payne (Proceeded in death) in Prairie MS.
Katie graduated from Shivers High School in 1964, she later met and married Webster Daniel White III on December 12, 1963. To this Union, 2 daughters were born Sylvia Ann White of Addison lL, LaTonya White of Bloomingdale, IL, They later moved to Chicago, IL, where to this union, 1 son was born, Stevie (Aleika) White of Orlando, FL.
Katie worked as a long time employee of Sears, Roebuck & Company and JoVan Fragrance Company. Later in life she obtained her CNA, and became a private home health care nurse.
She leaves to mourn 7 brothers Tom (Wilma) Payne, Henry Payne, James Earl (Deborah) Walker of Chicago, IL, David Payne of Aberdeen, MS, Theoplis Payne, Tavis Payne, Quoery Payne, 5 sisters, Johnnie B Carter, of Chicago, IL, Minnie Payne Simmons of Aberdeen, MS, Isabella Payne Mills of West Palm, FL, Katrina Payne Terry, and Lashawn Payne. Proceeded in Death by Cedrick Payne (brother), Dorothy Payne (sister), Jacqueline Payne (sister), Virginia Leneal Payne (sister) and Doris Payne (sister). Brothers and sisters in laws Wilma Brooks, Connie Burns, Willie White, Edna Cunningham. She also had two loving (daughter's) Cynthia Scales of Country club Hills, and Rosemary Bradley of Berkeley, IL, and one special (daughter) Natalie Faber. Two godchildren, Marvin Jackson, and Yoko Jackson. 12 Grandchildren Philip, Steven, Miara, Donovan, Alizze, Taizia, Dennis, Chante, Mario, Christina, Jasmine, and Elizabeth. Great Grandchildren Trevion, Mario Jr., Omauri, Tatiana, and Brooklyn, long time friend Juanita Moreland special mention Johnnie ,Earl, Gayle, and Tina of the Dunning Family and a host of Friends and Family.
A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, after which she will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood St., Orlando, FL 32801.
A reception will be held after the conclusion of the interment at The Place at Alafaya (Cabana), 11600 Mackay Blvd, Orlando, FL 32826.
