In Loving Memory of
Kenneth D'Apice
1951 - 2022
Kenneth (Ken) D'Apice, age 71, was called home to be with his Lord & Savior Monday, July 25th, 2022.
Ken was born February 15, 1951 to Rita and Mario D'Apice. He was the oldest of two brothers. He graduated from UPENN. In his youth, he was an Eagle Scout. His experiences and accomplishments as an Eagle Scout made him realize that what he wanted to do most in life was to help inspire other youths by providing them the foundational leadership skills they needed to be successful young men. It motivated him to join and build a career with the Boy Scouts of America, where he became a Scout Executive in Puerto Rico and was a Scout Executive in Long Island and he also worked across the northeast in the U.S. Over the course of his career he was proud to have positively shaped the lives of multiple generations of future leaders. He retired after 28 years of service.
Upon moving to Florida and as part of the second phase of his life, Ken decided to follow his dream of becoming a lawyer. He returned to school and graduated from Barry Law School in Florida in 2008. He practiced real estate law and also served as Professor at City College.
Throughout his life, Ken worked very hard and did his best to make sure his family always had what was needed.
In 1994, he met and married Monica, his loving wife of 28 years while in Puerto Rico. They travelled and had many family adventures but he was happiest at home with his family and dogs. However, Ken and Monica's greatest joy pride has been raising their very talented and wonderful daughter Isabella.
While Ken wasn't what we call a "Sports Fan", when it came to the Yankees, he was all in.
Ken will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
The family will receive visitors Friday, July 29, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Ken's Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Isabella D'Apice College Fund.
