Kenneth Earl Monroe, age 92, of Casselberry, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
Kenneth was born on July 1, 1929 in Harriman, TN, the youngest of nine children born to the late Horace Leonard and Etta (Davis) Monroe. On February 16, 1952, he married the former Betty Jean Blanton. Kenneth was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Winter Park. He was also a 30 year employee at Delta Airlines.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Jean Monroe of Fern Park; their son, Kenneth Paul Monroe, and his wife, Debbie, of Deltona; five grandchildren, Travis Monroe, Paula Radcliff, Pamela Oliphant, Tamie Martin, and Karie Kuritz; fourteen great-grandchildren, Kelsey Vaughn, Madison Radcliff, Aubrey Oliphant, Ava Oliphant, Kayla Kuritz, Brinley Kuritz, Paisley Monroe, CJ Radcliff, Gavin Radcliff, Grayson Radcliff, Taylor Martin, Landon Kuritz, Myles Monroe, and Ryan Martin; and a great-great grandson, Maddox Vaughn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his eight siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, with Pastor Walter Jackson officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Graveside committal services will be on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32807.
